You know what, my friend...if you are saying that you haven't posted for awhile because you have other passions in your life, I, for one, empathize completely.
I didn't know you were working on a new book(!); so, that is now something to which-in my life-I can look forward. I know this to be true because my tattered copy of The Creative License has been a day-to-day inspiration to the awakening of my own drawing impulses...impulses I have never really pursued until I read your book. So, thanks and take care.
(I live in Atlanta and am sorry that I can't hook-up to your conference; but I wish you the best in that obviously important endeavor.)
Thanks again for writing/illustrating a drawing book for those of us who rebel against "learn drawing" books.

It's only because your posts bring joy to so many. Thankfully you have a lot of archives to keep me busy.
Can't wait to see more videos of drawing.

Your life, Danny, gets busy as with anyone else's life, except maybe that of a mountain hermit someplace.
Keep on enjoying life, being involved in whatever and whomever you want to be and to make changes where you feel you need to. That's part of growing.
I enjoy what you write and draw and get inspired or intrigued or laugh off my funny bone, depending on what you toss out there.
I and my best friend that I've known the longest keep up so infrequently with each other, yet I would stand by him any day because he's a good friend in every sense. We can pick up anytime, even after a space of several months, and act just like it was yesterday. We're both still kids at heart and in friendship. I feel the same with your posts.
Keep on living and enjoying life, Danny. I am happy for you. Poke your head out when you can. Meanwhile, I'll still enjoy making new discoveries in your past posts and putting your advice and suggestions to the drawing board.
That's part of my growing.

The reason I have your site as my home page is it's the first thing I want to see when I "connect." I make the choice to check in to see what you have to share. As my Tia would say to these whiners, "For the love of God and all that is holy! Get a life!" On my part, I like being able to revisit your older posts and images-- thank you for all that you do put forth and share. It is a daily joy.

..........All wonderful reasons to not be involved in your online life. (Besides the day-job thing.) ... LOL :) Love the sketch, as always.

You don't know me but I just have to say - it is your life and your family and your blog. That it is your blog means that it is yours to do with what and as often as you will. I can understand people being concerned but not when they think that you 'should' post more often than you can/do.
Enjoy your life and family. I look forward to the new book.

Hi Danny,
You have a wonderfully busy life, with positive events. No apologies for that!
Hey, what kind of Camcorder did you get? Are you happy with it? I am thinking this will be my next purchase, as I want to try my hand at movie taking and editing.

Back when I was internet famous, I went to Asia and didn't post for two weeks. A few people emailed me to say that I had an obligation to my audience, which is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard.
It's your website, you can update as much or as little as you want to. (Especially now that it's good weather in NYC.)

All good reasons! Take care of yoursef and of your family and keep sketching, we will wait to see the results (in a new book?). Ciao! :)

I am completely in sync with you. I was a drawing and posting fool until the end of january when I found out I was going to have another kid... my creative juices just changed courses...It is actually good to hear that you are living your life first and not becoming obsessed with the need to post and be "out here".
Thanks for being so very real.
A friend of mine who works in Columbus, OH will be at the How design conference, John Victor, wish I could be there... Have a great time!

Hi Danny,
We've never met, but I loved your book The Creative License. It's glorious weather over here today in little ol' London town, and I've spent the morning sitting in Russell Square just sketching and drawing people. I'm really looking forward to your next book. Have fun with the camcorder!
Stephen.
