Gosh darned

In this country, and many others, it is very unpopular to not believe in god. Some people are coming out and discussing this but it is the taboo topic of our time.

Even here in the Gemorrah called New York City, you can talk about any sort of sexual thing, about your body's processes, about any intimate matter, but you can't ever question theocracy. So I won't.

great balls of fire...do wavy waves weally work? I say yes, with or without gods...
they just float like hairballs....or hairless balds....whichever. :)

I've been wanting to read this book. It's on my list of books to read. I am in the middle of probably 5 books - I read more than one at a time. It's like book-ADD. :) I really LOVE your artwork, and the colors in these drawings here are awesome. I just love the blues and reds. :)

I am Godless and dogless both, and happy for it. Have been meaning to read Dawkins' book for a while. Danny, your description in "Peanut" of the difficulties of early parenthood (esp. breastfeeding) really struck a chord. As the mother of an almost-6-month-old baby girl, I am hugely inspired by artistic/creative people who are also parents, and are willing to share their journey.

I find this really ineresting. Why is this the case? Why are people so reluctant to talk about this? I suppose it's the usual thing - rejection. The thing we're all so scared of. I think it is quite the opposite here in the UK though. Very few people go to church these days. Very few people care. There is a real indifference or even a dis-interest. But don't dare say anything about the dogs!!

From my observations, I feel the opposite is true. "christians" seem to be the ones everyone is against.
NEVER go Dogless!!

So (re my earlier message above) my daughter is now 13 months old and I have finally got round to reading "The God Delusion"! (a gift from my husband). While I agree with Dawkins on the basic fact of the godlessness of the universe, and think it is essential that there are people like him to state their case so bluntly and thus force others to think where they otherwise would not, I did find his style of writing anger inducing at times. I'm surprised, given my pretty much lifelong atheism, that I had so strong a reaction to the book ... Important stuff, I think.
