Write Me

Oh, yeah, I wrote a book

May 17, 2006

This ad ran this week. I had the odd experience of being art director, illustrator, copywriter, mechanical artists, account executive, and product manager on the ad. Fortunately, my publisher placed and paid for the media. I wonder if it will lure any new readers.

Hello Mr Gregory, I bought your book yesterday - it jumped off the shelf and into my hands – I couldn’t not! I’ve read the intro - and browsed some of the other pages, (who you are and why that’s fine, etc.) and I love it. LOVE IT! Thank you for being. With my best and most creative regards, Candy M. I think the ad is great, Danny. The headline rocks big. I think this book, in content and presentation, is extremely alluring and inviting.

Congratulations on your good works.

I went into the local Borders (the only one in Singapore, where I live lately), and was looking for The Artist's Way, when your book leapt off a table at me. I wound up not buying TAW. Like your book so much more, and have taken to carrying around a journal and pencils wherever I go.
I once said artists are to show people what joy looks like; you do that. Thanks.

Your ad sold me a book. I saw it in Time Out NY - it stood out and caught my eye. I as interested enough to come here and then head to Amazon.
I'm very much looking forward to receiving it.

I also love your book. It's put me in touch with the art I've put aside for a couple years-- a book of fiction. Your book is so very friendly and colorful.

I think it inspires because it doesn't just burst with ideas and encouragement. It's fetching, attractive and allows its visitors to read and observe from any page.

Bless you for that. It makes the concept of creation much less overwhelming and it means that the minds of your readers get a jump start no matter what page they turn to.

Thank you.
