I read somewhere that all of an artist's work is really "self portraiture". I wonder what that would mean for the toilet piece???? I too think its amazing how both of you use cross hatching so skillfully
I am so impressed with the top drawing. The composition is fantastic----swooping you right into that cozy room. I often use light cobalt turquoise to convey morning light on objects, so it is really fun to see someone else use that color in a similar way. And the linework is delightful, too. I was going to draw a bathroom for one of my interiors and now I'm confirmed in the idea. Great stuff from your father!

The colors remind me of ... 3D artwork, with a color for each eye.
I think it's remarkable how the two of you both have such a fondness for and skill with crosshatching - there must be a gene for that!

I would like to get better at this kind of interior sketching... the way he's got all the details included in the room drawing. Just lovely!
