Danny, I love the comic thing and using it with the step by step of how you created these paintings was great. Thanks for posting this. I love to see the process of how you create your art!
Wow!
This is ace.
I've been struggling to find permanant pens that wont run when using the watercolour. I've got a couple of large nibbed ones, but none for the delicate bits. Are yours permanant ink so they dont run? or am i missing a trick?
I love this visual insight and explanation to your technique! Plus your mentions of the various colors used in mixtures -- I would never have guessed green was included in the background and red in the skintone. Thanks!
When you drew the main contours of this admirable creation, were you working from a photo, from another drawing, from memory, or were you working from life?
Thanks for sharing this! I love seeing how other people work. And I was just in the market for a new set of watercolours, so now I know what to look for.
This is great, I love step-by-step walkthrus of artistic techniques. I do a lot of black and white ink pen drawings, I'll try to incorporate some of these ideas into doing some color work! :)
This is great stuff, Danny - thanks for sharing! I'm a terrible cartoonist so I've blogged your site, I think my readers will enjoy your work too. I love the casual, relaxed style and clear colour.
You must have an incredible output. I need to get more disciplined about drawing (and blogging!) daily.
wonderful discovery, your pages are!
I'm not usually big with Yahoo... can you send me the EDM url? And fill me in about wonderbrushes... Jeez there is even more I don't know that I didn't know.
Thanks for your great photos. I love the lighting in your comics instructions.

It took me until seeing the men's fashion painting to realize that you weren't doing a new interpretation of God and Adam from the Sistine Chapel. Oy.
But this is really lovely. The underpainting really does it, I think.
