While I have gone on and off moleskines over the years, I had to snap this one up. A journal preprinted with little frames, perfect for sketching out little storyboards or page layouts or comic books or whatever. All on a sturdy, water resistant oaktag paper. If you're a designer or ad guy or film maker or odd book collector, check it out.

This may be the most fantastic thing I've ever seen.

I don't have one yet, but I loved 'em the moment I set eyes on 'em. Gotta have one or ten.

Cool! I'd love to know who makes this so I can try to find one locally or order one.

I believe the official name is Storyboard Notebook. (It looks like it's currently only available in the 3.5" x 5.5" size.)

Speaking of new things, the new nameplate? banner? -- whatever it's called, I like the new look.

Now, of course, we look forward to seeing some sketches in the new moleskin.

Oh damn you! I read this just before lunch and had a $10 borders voucher burning a hole in my pocket. I'm now the proud owner of a mini version (they didn't have the larger one).

Have you noticed how each of the little sketching frames is in exact ratio to the Moleskine as a whole? Its even got the little markings at the half-way point of the top and bottom where the notebook crease would be. I think there is potential here for a cynical little post-modern metaphor for a contemporary preference for the copy rather than the authentic, a la Jean Baudrillard. But that would spoil the simple beauty of Moleskine which should never be blasphemed.
