Well done! But what I really wanted to say was a very hearty "Happy Holidays" to you and yours. Thank you for the inspiration you give to so many of us all year long through your words and images. Best wishes for a wonderful 2005.
Nice job! Love the little drawer/compartment thingies. Nothing like waiting until the last minute -- I only have about a week to lose 30 pounds to complete my resolutions. Oh well. I'm definitely changing the spin on that custom for next year.
Happy holidays and thanks for gifting us with your art and words all year!
danny, just had an idea- i thought i'd share it. i made copies from pages of everyday matters, cut and taped them together into a fairly large sheet and plan to use them as gift wrapping paper- it looks really cool- think about that for xmas next year. may amount to something, maybe not, but i thought i'd pass it on anyway. take care, brian dilorenzo
Congratulations!!!!
It's always comforting to know that many of my heroes have this habit of being messy.
I like to think of it as the creative mind being so active that cleaning is only necessary when things get too chaotic.
A couple of weeks ago I took "Before" pics of my entire house. I'm still getting to the point where I can take the "After" ones! It always feels good to start off the New Year or even month with a fresh clean workspace!
I have often thought the state of one's desk or studio was a more telling self-portrait rather than the face. My desk is a mess. I clean it up and then begin cluttering it up immediately. Chaos in life creates passion, passion creates art.
A record of my exploration into all aspects of drawing, illustrated journaling, creativity, and the inspiring aspects of art. By the author of "Everyday Matters," "The Creative License", and "An Illustrated Life" and other books.

How long did it take? You should see mine... It's still in the 'before' phase.

Oh I can so relate.
I think I will change my resolution to: "I resolve to convince Danny Gregory to come to my studio and clean it up".

May we see another photo in say, a month. Or after you go in there looking for postal stamps?

strangely, I find a messy desk much more inspiring when I work ...

Danny;
Looks like your clean-up elf showed up. But, my question is what does the ham shack look like?

Now Dan, tilt down so we can see where all that clutter really went.

::gazes wistfully at clean desktop::
I think the only way I'll get my office looking like that is by using a flamethrower.

Looks great!
That is exactly what I've been doing today. I want to ring in the New Year with a clean desk and most things on my "to do list" done.
