Can I nitpick? I'm pretty sure the origami photos are of cranes not swans. There's about 12 folds difference between the two pieces! :)

Thanks Danny for sharing some of your photos of the demonstrations in NYC this week; it's a shame how little time they got in the TV coverage of this convention. Living in Washington, DC, I am fully aware of how few protesters actually get coveratge on TV or in the newspapers. Seems they don't like anyone's opinion but the people who are in suits. I was impressed by the red fountian dye. ACTUP did that in some of the fountians here on the Capitol grounds back in the early 1990s when protesters were allowed to get closer to the buildings. The bloody fountian is a powerful visual image no matter where it ends up in relation to the powerful people who inspire its creation.
