At Last!

I just received my first copy of my new book!
It looks great and I am so excited to finally have it in hand. Well, once Jack Tea is done with his turn.
A record of my exploration into all aspects of drawing, illustrated journaling, creativity, and the inspiring aspects of art. By the author of "Everyday Matters," "The Creative License", and "An Illustrated Life" and other books.

Danny me boy. What a lovely feeling to finally get your 'published' book in hand. You almost can't believe it. You look at it. Turn it over. Put it down. Have a cup of tea. Go back. Pick it up and sneak a look again. You sit on the bus or subway and have the book in your bag. You grin at anyone sitting next to you, dying to haul out the book and let 'em see. You get the next rush when you actually see your own book in the book store. That's when you want to pick the book up and say (rather loudly) "This is my book." Then you glance around and when no-one is looking you face your book outward so the cover shows. I have experienced that 31 times and it's still an incredible, unbelieveable, adrenaline rush. It has never lost its intensity. You should be really proud of yourself mate, considering only one in every 5 thousand books submited get published.* Man, that is one hell of an acomplishment! This is your third book I believe, and it certainly won't be your last. Cheers!!!!! I somehow believe this is just the beginning of your career!

Sounds like it's pretty great..
I'm ashamed to admit this, but it is true that I still have not bought my copy of Everyday Matters! So I've got to catch up on these before your next one comes out! (If it's any consolation, I haven't bought any books in a long time..but yours are definitely on top of the "must get" list)
Noticed Julie's work in the background..pretty cool! That makes an inviting spot to read!
Jack's a good looking kid..he's probably fending off the girls already! And great taste in music, art, and literature doesn't hurt!
