Illustrated journaling is becoming trendy.
The Gawker and
The Gothamist were both kind enough to write a tidbit about my stuff on the same day. So now I guess Moleskine sales will skyrocket, Paris Hilton will start sketching and presidential candidates will endorse their favorite pens. |

Everyday Matters is a great book. Every time I read it I see something new. I'm going to have to get Hello World as well. My daughter's a HAM and I'm sure we'll all enjoy it.

"and my life will lie in smoldering ruins. Or not..." - I had a little grin at reading that one...I think it will be not, especially after actually reading what you have to say in your book. The post delivered it this morning *YAY!* and I have not put it down for the last 2 hours. I know I will be picking it up again and again, I agree with Karen, Everyday Matters is a great book and a wonderful personal life lesson and journey you share with us all, thank you Danny!

Dear Danny,
Thank you for writing that book. I know it was difficult to do but I hope when you hear from readers, who have been so kind, generous, and forthcoming with support and nice comments, I hope you know that it was the right thing to do. Maybe some people will even be helped by the story and find strength they didn't know they have. We did!
Love,
Your Wife

Dear Everyone,
Thank you for visiting Danny's blog and sharing your creativity and personal stuff and for reading "Everyday Matters". The story and the book must be special if it has somehow brought you all here together.
I just don't know what else to say to tell you how that feels. Maybe I should start drawing. One of these days....
Patti.

I just ordered my third and fourth copies, and will probably buy more. You know how you sort of adopt totems during times when your life is changing, and they come to serve as a shorthand for all the other stuff that's going on? Not to be all weird or heavy or anything, but your book has become one of those for me. I give it away to everyone I love.
